Praise God this weekend for the sacrifices men and women have made to serve our country past and present in the military forces. Having a strong military family heritage, I am very mindful of these special times to pause and give thanks and pay our respects. Tomorrow I will attend with my family and mother the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the AR Veterans Cemetery where my father is buried. I am always grateful for America as I experience all the pageantry of uniforms, flags, pledges, prayers, Governor Mike BeeBee' speech, the playing of taps and a 21 gun salute. This freedom I often take for granted is how we are able to worship God daily without fear of persecution. Join me in prayer and praise this week May 24 - 30 for the following:
(1) Thank you God in your sovereignty for allowing me to be born and live within this country, the United States of America.
(3) Give us your eyes and perspective on all people groups. May we acknowledge them as Your creation. May we cooperate with You in bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God to all nations/people groups around the world. Go before the Platts as they follow you to the Dominican Republic this summer.
(3) Guide the team to finalize the children programming they will implement while in the DR. A group of 3 individuals will meet Tues May 26 to organize a field day/mini-Olympics for ~ 100 kids. We need God's creativity and details.
